Terms of Service
1. Acceptance of terms
By creating an account or using HMD Campus (including iQbank, iConnect, Journal Club, Research Collaboration, and ResumePro), you agree to these Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.
2. Eligibility and verification
HMD is built for licensed physicians, residents, fellows, and medical students. You represent that the professional information you provide is accurate. HMD reserves the right to request verification of your professional status, to deny or revoke verification at its discretion, and to restrict access to member-only features until verification is complete.
3. Your account
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized use.
4. Member content and conduct
You retain ownership of content you post. By posting, you grant HMD a license to host and display it as part of operating the platform. You agree not to:
- Post content that identifies a real, individual patient or otherwise violates patient privacy
- Impersonate another person or misrepresent your professional credentials
- Post content that is unlawful, harassing, defamatory, or that infringes another person’s rights
- Upload files you do not have the right to share, particularly within Research Collaboration groups
- Use the platform to distribute spam, malware, or unauthorized advertising
- Attempt to circumvent verification, access controls, or scrape member data
HMD may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these terms, at its discretion.
5. Journal Club sessions
Journal Club sessions are hosted on Microsoft Teams. By registering for a session, you agree to Microsoft’s own terms governing use of Teams. HMD is not responsible for interruptions or issues caused by third-party video infrastructure.
6. Educational content is not medical advice
iQbank, Journal Club, and related educational content are provided for professional education and self-assessment. They are not a substitute for clinical judgment, institutional protocols, or continuing medical education requirements specific to your jurisdiction.
7. Intellectual property
The HMD platform, including its question bank, design, and branding, is owned by HMD or its licensors. You may not reproduce, redistribute, or create derivative works from iQbank content or other platform material without permission.
8. Termination
You may stop using HMD and request account deletion at any time. HMD may suspend or terminate your account for violation of these terms, misuse of the platform, or misrepresentation of your professional status.
9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The platform is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, HMD is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform, including reliance on educational content or interactions with other members.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the platform evolves. Continued use of HMD after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
