Alexander D. Crosett III

Alexander D. Crosett III is a technology executive, entrepreneur, and board advisor with more than four decades of experience building, scaling, transforming, and advising technology-driven organizations across healthcare, financial services, education, cloud computing, and enterprise software.

As an HMD Board Director, Alexander provides strategic leadership across technology strategy, enterprise AI, AI governance, cybersecurity, digital transformation, and organizational scalability. He also advises HMD on strategic growth, capital formation, partnerships, and opportunities to leverage technology and AI to build sustainable long-term value.

Alexander brings extensive enterprise technology leadership from Amazon Web Services and Google Cloud, where he advised senior executives and boards on cloud transformation, enterprise AI strategy, technology modernization, governance, cybersecurity, and responsible AI adoption. Earlier in his career, he served as a CEO, CTO, CIO, and senior technology executive, including founding and scaling technology companies and leading complex organizational transformations.

His board expertise is reinforced by NACD Directorship Certification (NACD.DC), the Boardroom Certified Qualified Technology Expert (QTE) designation, and a CERT Certificate in Cybersecurity Oversight from Carnegie Mellon University’s Software Engineering Institute. He has also advised CEOs and boards through significant transformations, turnarounds, strategic transactions, and exits.

He holds an MBA in Finance from the University of Vermont and a BA from the University of Virginia and is a holder of multiple technology patents.
